About the Owner
Located in the high desert of the Eastern Sierra, Three Wolves Tactical
is owned and operated by Jesse Gorham, a full time police officer in California since 1988.. Jesse conducts his
3 Wolves business in his off time. In addition to his investigative duties,
he is one of three department Rangemasters. Initially Jesse started
working his trade on Department owned weapons (sniper rifles and Glocks)
and the personal weapons of his colleagues. As word of his work spread,
local area shooters sought him out to paint hunting rifles. In October
2004, Jesse published his own web site and is offering his services
to anyone in need of his skills. In addition to his skills as a gunsmith/armorer
and artist, Jesse is a highly skilled shooter, both handgun and long
rifle, and a certified trainer in both disciplines.
About the Logo
The
Three Wolves Crest is a composit of two family crests. Jesse Gorham
is very much into his ancestery. The family name of Gorham can be
traced back to 11th century France in Brittany and Normandie. The
family of Gorron (also sometimes spelled Gorham in ancient texts)
had two notable brothers who were princes of Brittany. At least one
of the brothers fought with William the Conqueror and subsequently
settled in Britain. A generation later the son of the brother who
stayed in France was rewarded with land holdings in Mayenne by the
Count of Anjou, Geoffrey V Plantagenet. It is likely that this land
reward was the result of loyalty and military assistance by Gorron
during one of the baronial rebellions that Geoffrey put down between
1129 and 1151. Gorron built a castle and christened it "Le Chateau de Gorron". The town
of Gorron built up around the castle as was common in the time. This
town still exists today, although all that is left of the castle is
some of the walls that supported the foundation. The Crest of La Famille
de Gorron is a silver shield with three wolf heads. The English branch
of the Gorham Family ultimately created it's own Coat of Arms, which
was a red shield with three fetterlocks and the motto "Ready and
Faithful". The Three Wolves Tactical logo proudly reflects aspects
from both the French and English crests of the Gorham
ancestors.
